Director of Finance
Thompson – Full Time

The Keewatinohk Inniniw Minoayawin Inc. invites you to apply for a unique and ground-breaking opportunity to advance the health care of First Nation peoples in northern Manitoba. The successful candidate will employ their skills in finance as part of an innovative team tasked with addressing widely known and community identified gaps in health and wellness services.

Transformation of health care systems to meet the health and healing needs of First Nation communities will set the standard of care in the domains of equity and equality. As well, this work will focus on upstream preventative measures to support the health and wellbeing of our First Nations citizens with a focus on women, children and families.

A recognized accounting designation is required, a college degree in business management or accounting, a minimum of five (5) years accounting experience preferred, CPA preferred but will consider a combination of education and experience; as well, must have proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite, internet, and email.

The successful candidate must have knowledge of budget preparation and control, strong management skills, knowledge of First Nations programs; as well as providing support and guidance for the development of relevant internal processes and guidelines.

The successful candidate will possess strong communications skills with an ability to synthesize and summarize, verbally and in writing. The successful candidate will have financial acumen, be accountable, manage complexity and be resourceful and have the ability to work alone or in a team setting. All work will be carried out in a manner that is consistent with First Nations cultures and values.
