Employment and Social Development Canada has released the Age Well at Home (AWAH) 2022-2023 Calls for Proposals (CFPs) for projects across Canada. This funding opportunity has two streams:

  • Scaling up for Seniors; and
  • In-Home Support Pilot Projects

Scaling up for Seniors:

Eligible organizations can submit project proposals that include objectives that:

  • scale up services, previously delivered in Canada, that have already shown positive results in helping seniors age at home; and
  • deliver services directly to beneficiaries (seniors or seniors-serving organizations) to help seniors age at home.

Scaling up for Seniors project proposals must request a minimum of $100K, and the maximum request is $2M per project.

In-Home Support Pilot Projects:

Eligible organizations can submit project proposals that focus on providing services to low-income and otherwise vulnerable seniors, primarily in the seniors’ homes who need help to age at home, primarily through volunteers.

The objectives of the initiative are to:

  • expand delivery of volunteer-based eligible services to low-income and otherwise vulnerable seniors, primarily in the seniors’ homes to help them age at home, by offering additional eligible services and/or offering existing eligible services to more seniors; and
  • provide a service that helps low-income and otherwise vulnerable seniors navigate and gain access to eligible services provided by other organizations active in the local area.

In-Home Support Pilot Projects proposals must request a minimum of $300K, and the maximum request is $800K per project.
