Grand Chief Garrison Settee acknowledges the importance of participating in the democratic process and exercising one’s right to vote.

Grand Chief Garrison Settee states:

“I encourage each First Nation citizen to take time to vote in this provincial election. As First Nations people, we have made history in this election with a First Nation candidate for Premier of Manitoba. It is a reminder that every vote counts and that citizens have the power to shape the future of their communities”.

It is appropriate that this election will make history following Truth and Reconciliation Day. Let’s make this election turn out one that will show that the First Nation vote is powerful, and shapes our future.

Advance voting is now closed, so on Tuesday October 3, 2023, if you are age 18 or older, we encourage you to get out and go cast your vote. Every vote counts!
