Treaty Five Territory, Thompson, MB – MKO Response to Announcement from Manitoba’s PremierManitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak Inc. (MKO) is issuing the following statement to respond to an announcement from the Manitoba Premier that he will not seek re-election.

Acting MKO Grand Chief Shirley Ducharme states:

“On behalf of MKO, we are pleased to hear confirmation that Brian Pallister will not seek re-election for the position of Premier of Manitoba. We look forward to working with a leader who is fully committed to truth and reconciliation and working with First Nations in a good way.”
