Subject: NOTICE OF MKO ASSEMBLY LOCATION CHANGE AND ADDED VIRTUAL VOTING OPTION

MKO 43RD AGA – August 27- August 29, 2024

RBC Convention Centre – Winnipeg, Manitoba

Please be advised that the 43rd Annual General Assembly of Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak Inc. has changed its location from Opaskwayak Cree Nation to Winnipeg, Manitoba. The assembly dates will remain the same and scheduled for August 27-29, 2024, at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg, MB. The MKO Grand Chief election will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

Please note that for those who cannot attend a virtual voting option hosted by One Feather will be offered, the Electoral Officer will share further details and instructions on how to vote virtually.

MKO has identified rooms that are available at the following locations near the convention centre.

• ALT Hotel 310 Donald Street, Wpg, MB at $129 a night before taxes.
• The Delta Hotel 350 St. Mary Avenue, Wpg, MB $179 for a King and $189 for a Double room before taxes.
• The Hampton Inn 330 York Avenue, Wpg, MB $199 for a studio and $245 for a Studio Suite.

Due to the location change MKO will assist in booking rooms for Chiefs and Councillors however everyone is required to pay for their accommodations upon check in or check out depending on the hotels policy. MKO will only be covering travel expense for the Chief of each First Nation.
