The Senate Committee on Indigenous Peoples is accepting submissions to their Voices of Youth Indigenous Leaders 2023 until April 9, 2023. This year’s theme is Indigenous education.

The committee is inviting Indigenous youth to share their experiences in the education system (including public and private, traditional and non-traditional Indigenous education and/or post-secondary), and their visions for fostering leadership through education in First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities. The submissions will be used to inform the committee’s work.

Through this call for submissions, the Senate Committee intends to spotlight the strengths of present-day First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities and their inspirational young leaders.

Some applicants will be invited to Ottawa to meet Senate Committee members in June 2023.
