The Indigenous-owned company, Acosys Consulting Inc., will be holding engagement workshops on Flood Mapping in Thompson and Winnipeg at the beginning of February.
The workshop will be facilitated by the presenters Stephen Bird and Erika Quiring.

When: The Thompson engagement workshop will take place on February 7, 2023, and the Winnipeg workshop is on February 9, 2023.

Workshops will include receiving input from participants to identify real and theoretical priorities for flood mapping to incorporate Traditional Knowledge into the federal mapping process. There will be a focus on knowledge sharing and principles/best practices in flood mapping.

While sessions will be held primarily in English language, Acosys Consulting Inc. is working with Indigenous Languages of Manitoba Inc. to provide translation services if they are requested.

Meals and travel will be included for participants travelling from First Nations communities in Manitoba.
