Cross Lake Chief David Monias and Council were successful in ensuring the majority of their membership, including off-reserve members, have the opportunity to be vaccinated with the Moderna vaccine.
Please note this clinic is open to any First Nations person 18 year and over. This clinic is NOT limited to Cross Lake Band members.
Cross Lake is hosting a vaccination clinic for any off-reserve Band members who are 18 years and over (born before April 14, 2003) and who live in Thompson (or surrounding areas) and would like to get the vaccine. This clinic is only for the first dose of the Moderna vaccine.
A pop-up clinic is being set up as follows:
Date: April 14, 15, 16, and 17, 2021
Place: Awasis Agency Boardroom, 90 Thompson Drive – Unit 5, Across from Pizza Hut
- Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
- Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Friday, April 16, 2021 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Please ensure you have the following:
- Manitoba health card
Note: If you do not have one, we will assist you - Treaty status card from your Nation
- Please ensure you wear a short-sleeve t-shirt or tank top
- You must wear a mask at all times
Do not come if you are symptomatic (have a fever, cough, sniffles, etc.). We will check your temperature at the entrance of building.
We will have greeters that will direct you where to go upon arrival.
This is an opportunity to keep yourself safe, your family, and your community.
This clinic is being held in partnership with the Integrated Vaccine Operations Center, the First Nations Tripartite Vaccine Task Force, First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, and Northern Regional Health Authority.
