The Manitoba Accessibility Fund (MAF) for 2022-23 includes $750,000 to be awarded in grants. This amount represents the growth of the government’s $20 million contribution to the Winnipeg Foundation made in March 2021.
Beginning in 2022-23, the Manitoba government will use the yearly return on this investment to remove barriers encountered by persons with disabilities and to promote accessibility, as guided by The Accessibility for Manitobans Act (AMA). Eligibility includes non-profit organizations and businesses on and off reserve that must comply with the law.
