On Wednesday, November 9th, 2022, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM, the MKO Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Liaison Unit will host a Virtual Roundtable Discussion to finalize the development of a monument to commemorate missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people (MMIWG2S+). This monument will be located in Thompson, Manitoba.
Who Should Attend:
Impacted MMIWG2S+ family members and survivors of gender-based violence, including 2SLGBTQQIA+ people:
- who reside or lived in a Northern Manitoba community; or
- whose MMIWG2S+ family member was from a Northern Manitoba community
